About Stephen Hecker

I’m Stephen Hecker, a multi-award-winning tattoo artist, author, and graphic designer, passionate about bringing visions to life across various creative mediums. As the Co-Owner of High Tyde Ink & Imaging, my team and I specialize in graphic design, digital art, custom apparel, publications, and commissioned artwork. Since 2003, I’ve been dedicated to helping clients realize their creative ideas, starting my journey at Action Imaging and continuing to hone my craft through a variety of professional experiences. My formal education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and an Associate of Arts in Arts & Visual Communications, which have given me a solid foundation in both artistic and technical design.

In addition to my design career, I’m also a multi-award-winning tattoo artist. I’ve been tattooing since 2019, beginning my apprenticeship at Hidn Tattoo Shop and now working out of Captain Tattoo Art Studio in Temecula, California. I specialize in a range of tattoo styles, including cartoon, anime, watercolor, trash polka, comic, and illustrative designs. While I have a distinct artistic voice, my priority is always to ensure my clients get the exact design they envision, with a personal touch that reflects their individuality.

I’m also a multi-award-winning author with a deep love for storytelling. My Zebulon Series has earned recognition and can be found on Amazon and Barnes & Noble, alongside two published short stories. Writing has been another avenue through which I express creativity, and I am always eager to share my work with readers who enjoy exciting, thought-provoking narratives.
